Thanks to all that participated in Donivan's successful Eagle project last Saturday, and to those that participated in the various tasks we led marching, helping the Historical society with their picnic set up, and selling water during and after the parade.  A special thanks also to Patty McQuone and Maura Stelmaszek for our very successful first water sale.  We sold over 16 cases - and our water was the coldest and tastiest!  Congratulations!

Here's the news for this week:

  1. Block Island Camping Friday, May 30 to Sunday, June 1 -  Barbara Salce will be sending out a detailed note later today.  Keep your eyes peeled.  Tonight we spend the whole night planning and packing.

  2. Rest of the Year Schedule (only change is more details on Swim Test) -

    • Sat, June 7: Brendan McNamara Eagle Project

    • Wed, June 11: Scout Meeting Court of Honor - Advancements

    • Sat, June 14: Glen Friedman Eagle Project

    • Thurs. June 19: Summer Camp Swim Test - 7pm at the Jewish Community Center in Bridgeport

    • July 6 -12: Scout Camp

    • Summer Camp - Email packets containing general camp info & packing list were sent to all registered scouts on 5/27.  If you did not receive this email, please let Beth Love know.

    •   Fairfield Fire Department - Fairfield Half Marathon -  Fairfield Fire Department is sponsoring the Fairfield Half Marathon on

Sunday, June 22.  The Troop has been asked to "man" a water station in front of Oliver's Nursery on Bronson Road from 8:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. /-.

We need two adults, please, (at least one trained) to coordinate as many scouts, parents and others, to pass out  water/energy drinks and make sure the cups make it into the garbage.  Both Hogan and Charlie are out of town.  Everything will be supplied, and no experience necessary!  Proceeds from the event fund a camp for burned children.  Can you let us know if you are interested in leading?  Let's not forget the fire department is there for us EVERYDAY whether we need them or not.  AND, how many of our scouts visited the fire house as part of a nursery school field trip or cub scout badge requirement way back when?  Let Beth Love know ASAP if you can coordinate this community service event.
